Video Content

The AGR Youtube Channel consists of interviews, discussions, and an eight episode series on Asian heritage and history. With 100% of all footage being recorded remotely and on Zoom, I had edited more than 20 videos, each with numerous versions intended for different platforms.

AGR Profile Picture Frames

To increase visibility and display support for the movement, we released several AGR frames for individuals to use as profile pictures on social media. These frames and templates are available on Facebook for a limited time.

Within six weeks the inaugural launch of the Asian Gold Ribbon Campaign garnered a total of 33+ media clippings in 2021, delivering an estimated 31.25 million impressions across print, online, radio and television broadcast in Canada.

Standing in Visible Solidarity

The 2021 launch of the Asian Gold Ribbon campaign was an overall success due to it’s branding and consistency in creating engaging material on its social platforms. With the brand’s visual component and artistry, the AGR logo and branding has intrigued many to support the movement and take a stand in solidarity against anti-Asian hate and racism.

Even if Asian Heritage month is once a year, the Asian Gold Ribbon campaign is ongoing and active throughout the year.

Throughout Asian Heritage month people across Canada showed their support by wearing a gold ribbon, AGR facemasks, and lapel pins. Influencers such as Andrew Phung, Samuel L. Jackson and many others showed their support against anti-Asian racism.

The campaign has generated awareness of anti-Asian hate crimes within Canada and is a platform for those conversations. In addition, AGR is educating the public on cultural sensitivity and providing resource materials for Canada’s school board of education through storytelling and discussion.

On Asian Gold Ribbon Day (May 20, 2021) the CN Tower, Princes’ Gate, Niagara Falls and the Downtown Toronto Sign lit up in yellow in support of the initiative.
